In what’s sure to come as upsetting news for cows everywhere, Yelp is currently hyping up some of the best burger restaurants in the U.S.Ahead of National Hamburger Day on Sunday, the analysts at Yelp have — unfortunately for cows — decided to rank 100 of the top spots for beefy burgers, based largely on the ratings and reviews contributed by Yelp’s online community.Coming in at No. 1 is the Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q in Atlanta, where their signature “burger” isn’t really a burger, but rather a chopped brisket sandwich with onion, tomato, bacon, pickles, melted pimento cheese and jalapeno mayo on a brioche bun.“It was heaven,” one Yelp user wrote in an online review that cows everywhere would likely hate, had they the ability to read.As Yelp itself notes on its blog, several of the other top-rated burger joints don’t serve traditional beef burgers at all. Atlanta’s Slutty Vegan (No. 3) stuffs their burgers with vegan patties and vegan bacon alternatives, while one of the most popular “burge...Report: A’s reach ‘loose agreement’ with Nevada lawmakers for Las Vegas public financing

The Oakland A’s publicly stated their intentions to move to Las Vegas more than a month ago, and it seems that they are finally making progress on that relocation this week. The Nevada Independent reported Tuesday that the A’s and Nevada state officials have reached “a loose agreement” to publicly finance the team’s new stadium in Las Vegas. The A’s are reportedly going to request less than the $395 million in public financing the team said it needed when it agreed to its second binding term sheet with a prospective Las Vegas property. The team’s two-part money ask of the state of Nevada will reportedly be less than $195 million in transferable tax credits — the amount that the state legislature set as a maximum last week — while the request of $200 million in bonds from Clark County will also be reduced, too.Previous reporting from the Nevada Independent indicated that Nevada state lawmakers were considering between $150-195 million in tax credits. The planned nine-acre, 30-seat ballpa...Single family residence in Saratoga sells for $3.6 million

All that’s left is the laundry. You knew the Raiders would change once they left Oakland. Considering they were one of the NFL’s bottom feeders during their 25-year second act at the Coliseum, change was merited other than tinkering with the classic silver-and-black uniforms and the Raiders shield. With Tom Brady reportedly having agreed to a minority ownership stake Monday, the news will be greeted with mixed emotions among the fan base. Some will harken back to the ‘Tuck Rule’ and hate it — the further Patriotization of a franchise that owner Mark Davis is running as if his late father were Robert Kraft and not Al Davis.“We’re excited for Tom to join the Raiders,” Davis told ESPN, “and it’s exciting because he will be just the third player in the history of the National Football League to become an owner.”One wonders if Brady drops his briefcase on Day 1 if Greg Biekert will be there to jump on it.Some will love it.
