The Colorado Supreme Court on Monday upheld a controversial search warrant that Denver police used to identify the teenagers accused of killing five people in a house fire three years ago, while also finding that Coloradans have a constitutionally-protected privacy interest in their Google search histories.The justices found in a 5-2 decision that Denver police acted in good faith when they used a “reverse keyword search warrant,” which required Google to turn over the account information for any users who searched particular keywords in a particular time frame. Call it a pup crawl.The warehouse site that has gradually become more retail-focused is gaining a dog park and taproom. Skiptown, based in Charlotte, North Carolina, will open at 3833 N. Steele St. next year.According to its website, the York Street Yards location will include an indoor and outdoor dog park, an all-day coffee bar, and beer and cocktails in the evening. It won’t serve any food.Skiptown, founded by Meggie Williams in 2016, confirmed the opening but declined to comment. A Phelan man was arrested Saturday after he allegedly attacked his landlord after she told him she was evicting him.Kevin Figueroa, 40, "physically assaulted" his landlord at about 4:30 p.m. Saturday, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department said in a news release. When deputies arrived to the scene in the 9200 block of Aragon Road, they found that the landlord had been injured by the assault, while Figueroa had "barricaded himself inside his trailer on the property and refused to exit," officials said.After a four-hour standoff, Figueroa was taken into custody and booked into the High Desert Detention Center on a charge of battery causing bodily injury. He is being held in lieu of $40,000 bail.Jail records indicate he faces an additional charge of false imprisonment.He is due to appear in Victorville Superior Court on Tuesday.The landlord was taken to a local hospital to be treated for her wounds. (KRON) -- A Redwood Valley man was arrested Sunday in Santa Rosa after police officers located an unregistered, loaded firearm during a traffic stop, according to the Santa Rosa Police Department.Police pulled over a silver Dodge pickup at 1:59 a.m. on Oct. 15 in the area of Sonoma Avenue and D Street after it was seen speeding 50 mph in a 35 mph zone, SRPD said.During the traffic enforcement stop investigation, authorities said officers located two AR-15 rifle magazines and a loaded, unregistered 9mm polymer 80 handgun.
